Sterling Spring Call Me Sir - 2004 Colt

Call Me Sir about 18 months old

Sterling Spring Call Me Sir, is our 2004 stallion prospect. He comes from legendary bloodlines, we are expecting that Sir will put good bone, color and feather into our breeding program just as his descendants have proven to do generations before him. First of 2007, we will have him started under saddle. His first foal is expected in June of 2007 by our 2002 mare, Bakalo. Sir descends from Lob Eared Horse/Bob the Blagdon/Nero breeding with Nero being his sire. On his dam's side Old Horse of Ireland, Old Horse of Wales and Oakfied's Her Majesty with Her Majesty being his dam.

Sir was just over a year old when we purchased him. His sire is Nero who is a little less represented than some here in the states. Nero's sire is Bob the Blagdon, who I have loved from the beginning. Nero is a young stallion and looks like he will be the spitting image of Bob. Sir is following quickly in their footsteps! Sir is approximately 1 1/2 year old in this photo.

Sir loves to run and play. We try to keep him with our pregnant mares when possible. This season he will be living with Fantasia to see if we can get her settled the natural way.

Sir is 18 months old in this picture and he is telling Fantasia, "When I grow up, I want to be your boyfriend, OK?"

Sir on the far left, whispering to Bakalo over the hay bale, "When I grow up, I want to be your boyfriend too, OK?" Bakalo has been confirmed in foal and will have Sir's first foal in June 2007!! We are very excited to see this foal.
